CPI Energy Companies™, heretofore known as CPI Energy Phils., Inc. was born on Aug. 7, 1996, when the country was barely out of the energy crisis that engulfed the Philippines in the 90’s. Its initiation in project development in the Independent Power Plant (IPP) business, the principal mandate at its creation, brought the company into the diverse areas of project development intertwined with innovations and technologies in energy, environment, eco-tourism, transportation and communications. It has since broadened its energy mandate with focus on alternative and renewable energy resources, from briquetting, geothermal power, and coal liquefaction. CPI Energy Companies™ also promotes Safety as a core business competency and value to Philippine companies via representation of DuPont Safety Resources’ programs.

More recently, it expanded into the fields of broadcast and media technologies and IT. “Assistance to Financial Arrangement” is a business unit supporting project development strategies, and it augurs well for its gaining a niche and unique advantage in assembling financing solutions for projects, big or small.

CPI Energy Companies™ is also an “Energy Service Company” or “ESCO” geared towards energy efficiency. It is the “ National Technical Expert” in Asian Development Bank’s “Promotion of Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Greenhouse Gas Abatement” (PREGA) project.

All these have become possible because, first and always, CPI Energy has in-house specialists, technicians, and experts who excel in their respective fields: A Ph.
